Markeem Kendall’s Stop The Madness Foundation was founded in 2006 to serve as a safe haven and positive outlet for inner city youth. Headquartered at 1924 S. 6th Street, the Stop the Madness Foundation is devoted to empowering children and keeping them on the right path, despite the obstacles they may face. STMF organizes community events such as food drives, back to school fundraisers, and athletic events.
Currently going through a period of reinvention, "Stop the Madness" is changing into a center of comprehensive support for the city's youth. Kendall looks forward to Stop the Madness providing after-school programs, job centers, and other services so that the foundation will not only serve as a haven for Philadelphia youth, but also send them on their way with an undeniable advantage.
Stop the Madness Foundation seeks to be a cornestone of Philadelphia's revitilization. Built on the mantra "teach a man to fish and he'll eat for life", Stop the Madness is committed to bettering city and empowering the community.
